Good afternoon,

As always, we have updated you on the latest Covid figures today, if you like to keep up to speed.
There is plenty on the news agenda today.
If you are interested in the development of Preston, it's worth checking out plans to add an extra storey to the city's latest skyscraper.
And both South Ribble and Chorley Councils have been setting their post-Covid recovery budgets - there's some interesting ideas and initiatives on the table.
You also can follow our live blog for the  latest, breaking news.
The Government has revealed how students will receive their exam results in 2021, plus the bomb squad have been called after a suspected hand grenade was found in Blackpool.
So a busy day all round and an expensive one for the group who drove 130 miles from Blackpool to Scunthorpe only to be slapped with Covid fines.
Wishing you a great Thursday, as always you can email me at [email protected]
Kind regards, Nicola
