View email online | | | | | Nov 30, 2020 | | | | | | Good afternoon and welcome to a new week, This week we will welcome in not just December but a move from lockdown to Tier 3 rules here in Lancashire - and we will keep you in the loop. In what feels like old times, Monday began with a multiple vehicle accident on the M6 which caused the carriageway to be closed. One positive of lockdown has been, generally, road traffic accidents have been fewer in total but today's wet and dismal conditions meant visibility has been quite low. Latest on the progress of that incident online now. In other news a suspected gas leak is being investigated in Leyland and paedophile hunters have ensnared an alleged offender in a Preston car park. One man has been arrested. Meanwhile, Chorley singer Kevin Simm has admitted he is feeling the pressure ahead of his first album as Wet Wet Wet's lead singer. And in our nostalgia section we recall the snowstorm of 2010 that brought Lancashire to a halt - in pictures. On Saturday we launched our Christmas campaign ' Cards of kindness' in conjunction with Lancashire County Council. It's a simple idea to spread a bit of love - just add an extra Christmas card and send to a care home to ease loneliness this Christmas. A full list of care home taking part is available - full details here. As always thanks for your support. If you are thinking of subscribing now is the time as our Black Friday offer is still live with a 30 per cent discount!
