Good afternoon,

This weekend was packed full of fantastic events.

Two Preston festivals kept both rock and dance music fans happy, as Rockprest arrived in Moor Park, and Prestfest returned to the city's Flag Market.

And as Preston rocked out, Chorley welcomed a film star to Astley Park for the return of the town's Picnic in the Park event.

Here are the day's headlines:

Bamber Bridge fire

On Sunday evening a fire engulfed a commercial building in Walton Park in Bamber Bridge, with one person taken to hospital with burns.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue service said investigations into the cause of the fire will begin as soon as possible.

Ben Wallace close to tears during interview

Wyre and Preston North MP Ben Wallace has admitted "some people won't get back" from Afghanistan as a desperate struggle to get UK nationals and local allies out of the country continues.

Mr Wallace, who previously served in the Scots Guards, appeared to choke up while appearing on the LBC radio station on Monday morning as he spoke about the evacuation effort from the country.

Here is the rest of the day's news.

Take care
