Also: Nothing I can say, 'near total' eclipse (of the moon)
By Bob Warren Wetlands wipeout: When Hurricane Ida tore across Louisiana, it didn’t just wipe out homes and businesses. The powerful storm also did a number on a swath of wetlands larger than the city of Baton Rouge. Mark Schleifstein tells us what that means. Going up: Entergy Louisiana owes more than $4 billion in hurricane repairs and you know what that means. Mark Ballard reports that bills might go up as much as $15 per month. Offensive: Saints fans, you’ve no doubt noticed that this year’s offense is a hardly the high-powered scoring machine of the Brees years. Columnist Jeff Duncan puts some numbers to our collective frustration. 'Near total' eclipse (of the moon): You can check out a "near total" eclipse of the moon tonight and early tomorrow. (Hey, reminds me of a song... Sorry, that'll be in your head all day now.) Critter encounters: A deer got loose inside a Baton Rouge hospital this week. Odd, right? Yeah, but maybe not that odd. We've chronicled a number of animal encounters in recent years, ranging from Valerio the Jaguar to Cara the Python. Hope you enjoyed the Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us today. BW |
