Home Health Home Health Compare refresh shows drop in number of agencies earning five stars in HHCAHPS | About 878 agencies nationwide earned five stars in the ratings system involving HHCAHPS, according to the ratings released in July 2019. Post-Acute Care Use Medicare beneficiary numbers on claims or face rejections starting in 2020 | Beginning in 2020 there only will be a few exceptions for when providers will be allowed to use Social Security-based Health Insurance Claim Numbers (HICNs) on claims. PPS-Alert for Long-Term Care CMS has announced July 17 two new rules that, according to a CMS press release, will place more focus on SNF residents as a priority over paperwork by reducing unnecessary regulations and protecting their legal interests. The proposed rule would delay Phase 3 requirements, including QAPI and ethics and compliance standards. The final rule upends the ban on SNFs offering arbitration agreements to residents. These changes, fueled by the Trump administration, will modify previous rules set forth between October 2016 and June 2017. | |
