PPS Alert for Long-Term Care ROP Phase 3 requirements CMS’ Requirements for Participation (ROP) Phase 3 went into effect on November 28, 2019. There are several requirements that SNFs must follow, lest they risk resident safety and financial penalties. Although these requirements went into effect in November, CMS does not plan to release survey guidance until the second quarter of 2020. Because of this, it’s difficult to say which components will be heavily focused on.
