Losing their badges: More than 15 years later, it remains one of the worst memories to come out of the Hurricane Katrina nightmare – the shootings of unarmed people on the Danziger Bridge and subsequent police coverup. On Thursday, a state oversight board revoked the credentials of five officers who were involved, Joseph Cranney reports. Bad day, great night for LSU: Thursday was a study in contrasts for LSU sports fans. First came the announcement that the school would have to "vacate" its 37 football victories from 2012-2015. Vacate. Kind a nice way of saying rules were broken. Ouch.
