NARVESON | Staff writer One more arrested: Baton Rouge Police on Monday arrested a second person in connection with the death of 20-year-old Caleb Wilson during a fraternity hazing ritual on Feb. 27. Kyle Thurman, 25, is expected to be charged with felony hazing, according to a Baton Rouge police spokesman. During the fraternity pledging ritual, Wilson and eight other Omega Psi Phi pledges lined up in order of height for a fraternity ritual, in which each pledge is punched in the chest four times, according to arrest documents. Medicaid audit: The state health department failed to properly oversee some $2.4 billion in Medicaid spending over the past five years aimed at improving the health of Louisiana’s neediest patients, according to a new report issued Monday by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor. The report found that the Managed Care Incentive Program, which is run by Ochsner Health and a consortium of other state health providers that includes LSU Health New Orleans, LCMC Health and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, spent more than half the money on board meetings, annual reports and other administrative expenses that do not have a measurable impact on patient health. Missing Mango: Staff at Magnolia Wilds, formerly called Barn Hill Preserve, in Ethel arrived at work Sunday to a disturbing sight: a crime scene at their animal sanctuary. The gate to one of the enclosures had been forcibly removed, and upon closer inspection, they found Mango, a white-bellied caique parrot, had vanished. The incident is being investigated by the East Feliciana Sheriff's office, but so far there is no trace of the beloved feathered entertainer, who was known for an unusual affinity for the Grammy award-winning rapper Doja Cat.
