If you’re reading this in Louisiana, you’re probably inside, dodging some frosty temps and wicked winds. And if you’re reading this pretty much anywhere east, west or north of Louisiana … well, good luck. Fortunately, you’ve got options. At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the Senior Bowl comes on, live from Mobile, Alabama — home of LSU defensive lineman Neil Farrell, who ends his college career where it began. Our Wilson Alexander tells the lovely story of a lovely homecoming. (Also: guard Ed Ingram and Southern Lab’s own Damone Clark will play in the Senior Bowl, as well, wrapping up a week in which they attempted to boost their draft stock). One other football note: In the latest development surrounding name, image and likeness opportunities, LSU will begin selling customizable jerseys with football players' names on them ahead of the 2022 season. Elsewhere, the LSU men’s basketball team heads to Nashville, Tennessee, in desperate need of a win at Vanderbilt. Media day was Friday, and our Jim Kleinpeter took a look at Beth Torina’s team. The Tigers have felt more mature and experienced since the beginning of practice, Torina said. Also: Shelbi Sunseri, such a key component for the past few years, is prepared to rid herself of the “frustrations” of a subpar season.
