They spent a month of the season living the Dallas-Fort Worth area after Hurricane Ida left New Orleans without power. ... and this team can clinch a playoff berth Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons? Yes, believe it or not, through thick and (incredibly, almost impossibly) thin, the Saints of 2021 can keep their season alive beyond next week's regular season finale in Atlanta. The scenario is pretty simple, and the Saints need some help to make it happen, but we break it all down here. To get to this point, the Saints have needed help from just about everywhere — especially from their kicker, Brett Maher, who continued his stabilizing presence with another strong performance in an area that plagued the Saints earlier in the season. And, when the Saints line up against the Falcons Sunday, they will benefit from the return of two starters who were almost able to come back this past week against the Carolina Panthers — and Sean Payton explained why Marcus Williams and Erik McCoy had to wait a week.
