Jamey Eisenberg's Playoff Stockwatch list is here! While it's obvious whose arrow is pointing up at the quarterback position (C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love ), I was shocked to learn which QBs he believed were trending down. |
Another interesting takeaway when it comes to quarterbacks is the importance of assessing just how viable the tush push will be in 2024 following the retirement of future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce. Hurts recorded an NFL record for the most rushing scores by a QB with 15 touchdowns behind the notorious tush push. Something tells me it won't be the same for him in 2024. |
At running back, you'll find a couple of late-round adds in Aaron Jones and Devin Singletary that continue to be highly productive in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised to see both running backs carry this season's production into 2024, unless, of course, the Packers or the Texans acquire more depth at the position in free agency or the 2024 NFL draft. |
De'Von Achane will likely be a hot commodity in most 2024 drafts due to his game-breaking speed. We'll have to see how his game script evolves next season as Raheem Mostert figures to again receive the lion's share of carries in 2024. Miami could also opt to draft a big back in the 2024 NFL Draft, such as Trey Benson out of Florida State, or Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen, to give them a multiple approach during the cold weather months. |
Jamey Eisenberg also breaks down why Rashee Rice, Nico Collins, and Puka Nacua will all be extremely valuable adds in rounds two through four in most Fantasy drafts next year. However, questions surrounding the state of the quarterback position in Pittsburgh makes projections for the ultra-talented George Pickens a little murky. |
While he had five 100-yard outings in 2023, he also went several weeks without making much of an impact for the Steelers. He finished the season with 1,140 yards and five touchdowns this season, but it remains to be seen if the one famously dubbed "NFL YoungBoy" (IYKYK) can find a modicum of consistency in quarterback play in 2024. |
Another wide receiver whose stock is down (for different reasons) is Jaylen Waddle. Waddle has all the ability in the world, but he was bitten by the injury bug this year and couldn't get back to his 2022 form where he posted 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns. While his 1,014 yards and four touchdowns in 2023 are nothing to sneeze at, he averaged a career-low 14.6 PPR points per game in 2023. If he can get healthy and stay healthy in 2024, he should obliterate all ADP projections in 2024. |
Jamey points to Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson as a potential No. 1 option with a late-round pick in all leagues, and I happen to agree. He'll become that much more dangerous when the Cowboys add a true vertical threat to their passing attack. Brandin Cooks gave the Cowboys some of that this season, which helped open up underneath crossers for CeeDee Lamb and Ferguson. If another deep threat like Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy is added to the Cowboys WR corps, Ferguson becomes that much more dangerous. |
Overall, the playoffs have been a great showcase for tight ends, but Packers tight end Tucker Kraft was on the other side of that in Green Bay's 48-32 Wild Card victory over the Cowboys. Kraft posted just two catches for 15 yards on three targets against Dallas, while his draftmate Luke Musgrave had three catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. I was very high on Musgrave coming out of the 2023 NFL Draft as he was so well-rounded as an in-line blocker as well as a receiver. I look forward to seeing Musgrave become a Fantasy star very shortly. |
