| | French composer-pianist RIOPY began to teach himself the piano at an early age when he gained access to an abandoned instrument. Without any printed scores, he simply began to compose music in his head. Moving to London at the age of 21 and playing in clubs to make a living, he continued to develop his rhythmically-driven, almost trance-like style of performing his own atmospheric piano compositions. He was soon discovered by the piano firm Steinway & Sons, who have since named him a Young Steinway Artist. RIOPY's debut EP On a cloud is intimist, soaring piano minimalism at its most compelling.
