The week's biggest real estate stories. Pharrell has officially decamped California for the Sunshine State. The music dynamo/fashion designer sold his $9.2 million glass mansion in the Hollywood Hills to Francis Davidson, CEO of the short-term rental managing firm Sonder. For film buffs, the Hagy Belzberg-designed architectural tour de force played Ryan Gosling’s bachelor pad in the 2011 hit romcom “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” Elsewhere, billionaire Crate & Barrel heiress Katharina Otto-Bernstein dropped $13.8 million on a Beverly Hills midcentury estate. The hilltop spread boasts huge gallery walls ideal for a modern art collection – and perfect for Otto-Bernstein, given that she and husband Nathan Bernstein own an extravagant collection that includes works by Anish Kapoor, Andy Warhol, Picasso, Cézanne and Zhang Xiaogang. |
