This is the time of year we get mice. We live back off the road and there are barns behind us so we get about 3 a year. My husband read in Mother Earth news, that you can make your mouse problem go away for good.

I have been carving and casting stepping stones for almost 20 years and this is how I do it. Hope that this will help someone with their project. The mold used is a purchased ABS plastic stepping stone mold.

While out with my 17 year old grandson shopping for a Halloween mask, we saw these beautiful orange fungi in the planter median of the strip mall. I don't know exactly what type of mushroom they are but they were so bright and fun to see. We jumped out of the car with cell phone cameras at the ready.

This is a delicious ground beef stew dish from India. I've had some versions of it that don't include tomatoes, but I think adding them rounds the dish off very nicely. This is terrific alongside warm pieces of naan bread or a bed of long grain rice.

I simply store my used plastic bags in an empty tissue box. Pretty and easy to retrieve! I use a smaller square tissue box under my bathroom sink to store spare bags to line my bathroom garage can.
