After more than a dozen years as châtelaine, Oscar-winning actress and lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow has consciously uncoupled from her home in L.A.'s Brentwood area. The Goop founder and CEO took in a whopping $22 million for the gated estate that she bought with her now ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and has shared since 2018 with her writer/producer husband, Brad Falchuck. Along with a 13,000-square-foot abode reimagined by designer Windsor Smith, the two-thirds-acre spread includes a guest or staff apartment atop the garage and a sprawling detached guesthouse that includes a climate-controlled wine cellar, a gym, a movie theater, and more. Meanwhile, the New York City apartment of legendary entertainer Sidney Poitier, with six rooms that face Central Park, has sailed onto the market for $11.3 million.
