| Dear Friend, Ticket sales are live for Personal Democracy Forum 2019: Making Tech Civic! The year's PDF explores some of the ways we can reverse some of the negative impacts technology tools, companies, and policies have had on civic discourse, economy, social structures, and politics. The morning features speakers in three different topic areas and the afternoon features PDFopen sessions, which are lightly curated unconference-style sessions. Confirmed speakers already include Marta Tellado of Consumer Reports, Sabeel Rahman of Demos, Yana Calou of Coworker.org, Cheryl Contee of Do Big Things, Ben Rattray of Change.org, Harold Feld of Public Knowledge, and more! Check out our website pdf19.com for the agenda and tickets. Because of our work on Civic Hall @ Union Square, PDF is only one day this year. By holding it at Civic Hall's current home, we will be in a smaller and more intimate space which means we have fewer tickets than usual. We anticipate tickets selling out fast so reserve your ticket today! Tickets are $200 and this is to help us offset the cost of giving discounted tickets to folks who cannot afford a full-priced ticket but still want to come. If you require a ticket at the cost of food and beverage, please contact curator Danielle Tomson ([email protected]) who can give you a code. See you on June 6th? Andrew Rasiej, Micah Sifry, and Danielle Tomson |
