Happy Pentecost Sunday! PCUSA pastors are responding to the denomination’s decision to amend its Book of Order to require clergy candidates to answer questions about their views on sexual orientation and gender identity. Some have warned that it “completely removes freedom of conscience” and will exclude clergy who disagree with the denomination’s views on such matters from serving in leadership roles.
