| | Digital Inclusion Week in Baltimore Welcome back to the work week, Baltimore. Last week's newsletters, as you might remember, were dominated by news surrounding the killing of EcoMap Technologies CEO and cofounder Pava LaPere. Today, we've got a special guest post from her cofounder Sherrod Davis, the company's COO. It offers a version of his remarks from the vigil for LaPere held last Wednesday. Whether you saw Davis deliver his powerful speech in person or are catching up via this article, I hope it offers you some additional solace during such a difficult time. I know it provided me with some, amid the news of other recent deaths in Baltimore. Stay tuned this week for another article about late VersaTech EVP Vincent Sharps. In different news, today marks the start of Digital Inclusion Week across the country. The week, part of an initiative from the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, aims to provide awareness about digital inclusion efforts throughout US communities. The Baltimore City Office of Information and Technology is kicking the week off right now with a resource fair at Enoch Pratt Southeast Anchor Library in Highlandtown. The fair, according to a press release, highlights such resources as the state's Connected Devices Program, which can help Baltimore residents get free Chromebooks. Do you know of anything else happening for Digital Inclusion Week in the region?
