Firecracker Wrapping for Money Gift
When my grandson was 10 years old he loved fireworks every Memorial Day, Fourth of July, etc. So for his September Labor Day birthday I did the following. I took 10 toilet paper rolls and put a five dollar bill in each one.
Sign and Date Your Crafts
Always sign and date your labors of love. I have homemade ornaments from many years ago. Some aren't signed and it's sad not to remember who took the time to create their "labor of love".
Making an Incense Burner with Shell Buttons
Try to think up ideas to make any little thing with items you may already have on hand. I needed an incense burner for stick incense. I had a bunch of nice-looking but mismatched shell buttons. Each was flat with 2 holes. Stack them up aligning the holes, largest one on the bottom, glue them together, and you have an interesting homemade incense burner. By Jayne
Crochet Strips of Towels
We took several well worn towels out of our RV that had become favorites and "old stand-bys". They are getting a new life; crocheted into a rug, mat, seat cushion, or other useful item.
Punching Lantern Holes In Recycled Cans
Fill can with water and freeze. This will give the can stability so that it does not collapse when you hammer with nail.
Storage Bags from Old Jean Legs
Whenever your kids outgrow their denim jeans, save them for making bags from the legs. Cut off the legs at the crotch, turn inside out and hem the unfinished edge. Now you have a nice long tube-bag for tent poles, beach umbrella storage, etc.
Saving Powdered Beverage Containers for Crafts
I save the containers for Crystal Light and use them to store beads, buttons, wire, and more.
Homemade Facial Sage Astringent
Put half the sage in a jar and pour the vodka over it. Cap the jar tightly and let it stand for a week. Strain, reserving the liquid and discarding the sage.

Using Apple Tree Branches to Hang Quilt
I am using apple tree branches with bark and some kind of fungal growth to hang quilt art. Do I need to seal the branch? If so what with and how?
Black and White Tie Dye Ran in the Wash
Black and White Tie Dye Ran in the Wash - dye ran onto the white portion of the dress
Removing Sulky Adhesive Stabilizer from Fleece Blankets
I embroidered dozens of fleece blankets for the first time. Not realizing it would be a problem I used Sulky type adhesive stabilizer. Now it's not coming off! Because of the color of the blankets I don't want to try Goo Gone or anything that may fade it. Usually, I can wet the stabilizer and remove it, but not this time.
Reverse and Needle Down Button Not Working on Silver Sewing Machine
I have a Silver 1080 sewing machine. When I press the button for reverse it won't work. Neither will the button for needle down position.
