Exciting times for Canberra on this day in 1965 with a royal visit from Prince Bertil of Sweden. Prince Bertil would lay a wreath at the Australian War Memorial and visit Regatta Point. He would then attend a reception hosted by the Ambassador for Sweden. Following this, he would dine at Government house for dinner.
