BY DEANNA B. NARVESON | Staff writer A man and woman have been charged with first-degree murder in the brutal killings last week of a Tangipahoa Parish woman and her 4-year-old child. A grand jury handed down the indictments on the same day family and friends gathered to say goodbye to the mother and daughter during their funerals. The accused pair remains jailed in Mississippi, where they also face charges, but District Attorney Scott Perrilloux wants his office to take the lead in prosecuting them.
