Packing for Traveling Families

When my children were small, I would put together an entire outfit for each of them for every day we planned to be gone. I would include panties or undershorts as well as socks for every outfit.

I keep a little braided piece of yarn on my scissors. It helps me find the scissors more easily. When I am sewing quilts or blankets, I attach a brightly colored clip to the braided string. My scissors never get lost now when I am sewing a big project!
Window Privacy Without Losing Light

I have a west facing window I don't have to worry about blocking till July! So, in order to have some privacy, but still let the light in, I did this with some lemonade jars and flooring planks.
