Pop Your Plastic Lid

By Deborah S.

A plastic container with a rubber band sticking out, to help with opening.I have a hard time getting the lids off my Tupperware! Dollar store containers are a good buy but nearly impossible to pop the lid on. I save the rubber bands that come around broccoli and other vegetables for further use. Cut the rubber band and put it under the lid and snap the lid shut. When you want to open the container, pull the rubber band to the top and use both hands to pry the lid open.

Soaking Labels off Glass Jars

By Sandi/Poor But Proud

larger soaking jar, smaller jar with label removedI reuse all the glass jars in my house for everything from gifts to storage. I found a way to soak the labels off without having to fill your whole sink. Just fill a larger jar with the smaller one you want cleaned. Put a drop of dish washing liquid in the smaller jar and fill with very hot water.
