Announcing P5 Software Suite Version 5.5

After our successful launch of Pure – Essential VMware Backup, we have another exciting announcement: On August 16th, we will be releasing our major update of the P5 Software Suite. New features of P5 version 5.5 include:

• Backup to the Cloud for P5 Backup (new for all platforms)
• Client-to-Client sync option for P5 Synchronize
• Choice between two archiving modes for the Cloud: ​
  - "Pool-Format": established, flexible features (cloning, migration, etc.)​​
  - "Object-Format": single-file access & shareability for cooperative workflows
• Amazon S3 and Glacier, generic S3 and BackBlaze (B2) support for P5 Archive
• Automatic backup of Archive indexes
• Support for Archive to the Cloud for Windows, FreeBSD & Linux (in addition to already supported macOS X)
• Additional features and functionalities in the CLI (preview, clip handling, sorting and identifying cloned volume sets)
