Stock Gumshoe Daily Update
Greetings, Gumshoe readers! |
Please click here to go directly to today's new article. Cash Rebates! Getcher cash rebates here! That's the siren song from the Oxford Club folks this week, who are emailing an ad saying that you can "collect a cash rebate on nearly every single purchase made in 2015." And our readers do like their cash, so ears perked up all over Gumshoedom... so what's the idea with that "consumer rebate program?" Is it real? The answer, as usual, is "kinda" ... details in today's new article here. Or did you miss any of the big money, get in early, can't miss, golly you'll be rich! stories last week? Just read on... ------------advertisement-------------- (Urgent) Investors Prepare for Motley Fool's March 18 Alert Not to alarm you, but you're about to miss an important event this Friday (March 18). You see, renowned investors David and Tom Gardner are scheduled to reveal their next great stock ideas at noon on March 18. And I don't know about you, but I always pay attention when some of the best growth investors in the world give me a stock tip. Click Here to make sure you're on the list. ----------------------------------------------- The most-discussed pitch last week was also about the smallest company -- really, a too-tiny-to-be-serious stock, and naturally it's teased by a penny stock letter (Penny Stock Millionaire). That letter's editor, Alex Koyfman, is promoting his idea as "Top Secret Defense Tech About to Explode" -- it's basically a spiel about "getting in early" on underwater "drones" as the market grows like unmanned aircraft did starting in the 1990s... and, of course, about "one little stock." Which we'll discuss with you here. Keith Schaefer is talking up the huge opportunity in rebuilding and improving our electrical grid, and he says that there's a leading "internet of things" company that he thinks will profit hugely from that... readers started asking us about it when he said "My only concern is that this company gets bought out in the next six months" ... so who is it? Thinkolator answers here. We also had a new piece from Doc Gumshoe this week, looking at diets and metabolism... if there's one thing that marketers love, it's a hot new diet to promote. Doc's piece is here. And I finally got around to writing about the heavily hyped "Metal Oil" pitch from Keith Kohl this week -- that one's all about lithium and the Tesla gigafactory and about how all this battery stuff is gonna make you filthy, stinkin' rich... so what's he hinting at? Thinkolator answers here. The marketing mavens at Money Map are loaded for bear lately, and they're continuing to fire away with endless ads about that "$2 Microcap" that is awaiting a "Major Announcement Due By March 31" that Ernie Tremblay thinks will "spark a 224,000% Sales Surge." Sound familiar? Yes, this is one that has been hotly touted since January, and we wrote about it then, but I re-posted it on the site today for those who missed the first go-round and are asking about it now -- that (slightly) updated article is here. And we closed it all out this week with the Friday File for the Irregulars, in which I take a look at Nicholas Vardy's Cuba teaser and name those five stocks, and also follow up on a few others of interest. That piece is here if you missed it Friday evening. |
