Quick tip of the dayEver gotten tired of texting? Maybe your thumbs felt sore after typing a six-paragraph dissertation of your day. Instead, you can just speak to your phone and send a message straight to your friends and family. It’s like a one-way phone call. iPhone to iPhone Open up a conversation and tap the recording icon just to the right of your text box.Keep your finger on the button while you talk. When you’re done with your message, release your finger.If you want to listen to your recording, just tap the play button. Hit the X button to delete your recording if you want to start over.To send it off, just hit the upward-pointing arrow.Now, iPhone to Android or recording audio messages on an Android phone requires a few more steps. We’ll walk you through them here. |

It’s all part of a new type of two-factor authentication. In the future, you could just record a short video of your face doing something unique. Maybe you have a secret phrase or a funny face, like that wink we mentioned. Either way, you record this clip to unlock your phone.
