During the Dec. 8 conference, WardsAuto Industry Analyst Haig Stoddard will present our long-term US sales and powertrain forecasts
to help your business see risks and opportunities in the months and years to come.

Plus, Haig will share his quarterly WardsAuto Barometer which features our outlook and scorecards on all the major OEMS for the next quarter and beyond.

You'll get digital and hard-copy versions of the forecasts, and have access to view video of the presentations shortly after the event.  Limited seating remains.  Register Now.

Technology Focus: Lightweighting

There is a lot more to vehicle lightweighting than epic battles between steel, aluminum and carbon fiber for the keys to the body-in-white castle.

WardsAuto Director of Content Drew Winter gives a quick history of lightweight materials in the automotive industry from the 1970s to the present and then takes a look at some of the unsung heroes in the automotive weight-loss battle:

  • New ways of making lighter sound insulation and leather upholstery

  • How Ford used clever engineering and plastic composites to replace an expensive magnesium part on the new Ford F-250 pickup

  • The new carbon-fiber hatch on the Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid

  • And much more

If your company is relying on emerging lightweighting technologies to help you meet regulations, or if you are involved in the development or production of these innovations, you can't afford to miss Drew Winter's assessment on the state of lightweighting across the industry.  Register now
