Dear John, I’m incredibly blessed to be not just the proud son of Zig Ziglar, but also the proud father of Alexandra Ziglar. As a recent college graduate, she’s pretty much finished with navigating those crucial formational years that can be so challenging — especially the teen years. Just being around Alexandra and her friends while she was growing up, I observed how so many teens struggle with self-image, relationships with others, and just generally figuring out what they want to do with their life. I’m sure you’d agree that one of our top priorities as parents is to make sure our kids overcome these struggles and become well-equipped to launch into life with all of the leadership skills they need to be successful. That’s why a few years ago, Ziglar, Inc. partnered with Matt Rush and James McLamb to create Generation Ziglar, an organization designed to mentor and motivate today’s youth, bringing out the leaders within them, thereby impacting future generations. This summer, they’re bringing back the wildly popular Generation Ziglar Outdoor Leadership Experience, a week-long, hiking experience in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. During the Outdoor Leadership Experience, young people will be infused with Ziglar principles of personal development, all in the great outdoors, to destroy confining walls and create a firm foundation to build a successful future for us all. I wanted to share this program with you in case you have any teens in your life who might be interested in joining other leadership-minded peers for a truly unforgettable life experience. If you know some young men or women who are between the ages of 16 -25, are available June 10-16, or June 24- 30th, and want to experience an outdoor leadership experience like never before, then we’d love for you to connect with the Generation Ziglar team to learn more!
