| Our founder Hilary Bradt was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Travel Writing award, following previous winners such as Bill Bryson, Michael Palin, Jan Morris and Dervla Murphy. This award recognises the great contribution Hilary has made to the world of travel writing throughout her numerous decades of exploration and adventure across every corner of the globe. | After hundreds of fantastic entries and months of deliberation, we’re thrilled to finally be able to announce the winner of this year's competition... Ruth Cox is our New Travel Writer of the Year for 2022! Her winning entry, 'Ghar Ghosts', will be published in Wexas Traveller magazine and she wins a fantastic trip to the Apukka Resort in Rovaniemi, Finland,courtesy of Best Served Scandinavia.
