Our AI, PG Calls Exploded This Morning — Here’s What’s Hitting Wednesday for Earnings Well, we made it through the first BIG day of earnings Tuesday with the likes of Netflix (NFLX) dropping a massive beat on the market… And making a huge pop today, up as much as 15 percent — a staggering $135 a share! — in the early morning hours before settling lower as the day wore on. The real heroes from Tuesday’s edition of this newsletter came from a non-earnings play… But rather AI… specifically C3.AI and the two plays we included, especially the weekly expiration, $33 strike calls that were trading for about $0.71 when this newsletter was delivered to your inbox at 3 p.m. ET yesterday. Then later Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced a new $500 billion investment project in AI involving OpenAI, Softbank and Oracle to build AI infrastructure and create over 100,000 U.S. jobs. These are just estimates, of course. But hey, the market likes good news, and things are moving and shaking as we kick off the second Trump regime. And those 71-cent calls? BANG — up to a peak of $2.33 this morning during the first hour of trading. The Feb. 7 $35 calls didn’t do too shabby either, bouncing from $0.81 at the time the newsletter went out to a peak of $1.86 this morning — and it still has another 1 ½ weeks till expiration. Which just goes to show this is why we follow the flow — because somebody always knows! We also covered American Airlines (AAL) calls for this Friday’s expiration in the $18.50 strike, which also caught a nice bounce from $0.68 to $0.95 this morning after United (UAL) reported strong earnings. AAL reports Thursday — more on this below. Oh but that’s not all! The Procter & Gamble (PG) weekly $165 calls we pointed out? They were $1.15 per contract and today, they peaked at $2.54. So it’s already been a banner, banger of a week. But enough bragging, let’s see what else is hitting as earnings season marches on!
