Get set for the fight of the century. Software giant Oracle has set its sights on Internet kingpin Google in what looks set to be a battle royale. Oracle wants US$9.3 billion in damages from Google for use of Java code in its Android operating system, according to court filings.

Meanwhile, what could have been another battle to end all battles has fizzled out to nothing. The FBI has gained access to the data on an iPhone 5C without the help of Apple, ending an ongoing brawl between the US Government and the global corporate colossus that had threatened to end up in the Supreme Court.

Twitter’s live streaming service Periscope is one year old this month and in the past 12 months 200 million broadcasts have been created, according to Twitter.

The National Australia Bank has unveiled its latest customer innovations which are being delivered through its digital hub, NAB Labs. NAB Business in One, developed in conjunction with Australian start-up Maestrano, is a cloud-based digital platform for small business customers.
