Charming Romantic Southern Comedy Opens Thursday, July 6th at The Peterborough Players

A contemporary romantic comedy about second chances, Alabama school teacher Lizzy Nash and her new neighbor Jack Key meet-cute most days in their backyards. Newly widowed Lizzy, and Jack (with a slightly turbulent past), maneuver their mutual attraction as they sort through life’s laundry, one pile at a time. Their world is filled with packing boxes, pie, and hours of talks as the two dance a getting-to-know you waltz for a year. How do we move on before we think we’re ready? How do we make new connections while honoring the past? In MAYTAG VIRGIN, we fall in love with Lizzy and Jack, as we hope they will with each other.

NEW Players Junior Classes! Interactive theatre-based classes for kids ages 7-12. These 90 minute classes are led by our staff and 2nd Company members.
