The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth has announced its new interim CEO. 59-year-old Dave Benson, the former executive director of the Damiano Center, will be taking over former zoo CEO Corey Leet's position. 

According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the captain of the Canadian flagged ship reported the crash Sunday morning in just east of Grosse Pointe Woods on  Lake St. Claire.

Although temperatures are often cooler by the lake, a wind direction change, and a cold front moving through the area, made the temperatures  drop by 27 degrees in a matter of minutes.

The Legislature's hunting committees are set to vote this week on a bill that would establish a woodchuck hunting and trapping season.
