A man is dead after authorities say a car accelerated at a high rate of speed into a Grand Rapids lake. 

Authorities believe a St. Louis Country patrol officer was possibly intentionally hit by a alleged drunk driver while out on patrol late Tuesday night. 

The moose was seen racing across Highway 169, and it appeared to be moving toward the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Coleraine.
