only smoothie i'll drink. During quarantine (remember that?), I wrote up a recipe blog post for the smoothie that I was making each morning. The only smoothie I liked, to be honest. Maybe the real reason I was making it daily was that it only required two ingredients. Even during those days-feel-like-forever eras, that’s all I had the mental bandwidth to handle. Not to mention that it was inexpensive to create and money was more than tight (thanks to work slowing down). Saying all that, I’m also a picky smoothie drinker. They must be: cold (frozen fruit works best) thick (no watery mess) not too sweet (or I’d be drinking a shake). doesn't require multiple ingredients (easy, but effective, is my life’s mantra) So, I wrote my favorite smoothie recipe post, then went along my merry, isolated day. Likely organizing my spice cabinet or stocking toilet paper in the hall pantry.
Then, before I knew it, the recipe blew up. Like, lots of people were reading the post. Why? I still can’t say for certain other than it being super easy to make and tasty. But people were into it and that made me happy! You know, it’s always the posts that I write a whim that do the best, ha! Three years later, it still ranks as my top recipe. All year long, even in the wintertime. This smoothie knows no season. Since then, I’ve made a similar version using a different fruit that is just as tasty (promise) as well. To the other smoothie recipes on my blog, there is nothing wrong with you. You are worthy of drinking, too. Hang in there. Your day will come.
