Only 24 days left till CDI Week 2017 kick-off

Not a day goes by that we don’t marvel at the growth of the clinical documentation improvement profession. With the 10th annual ACDIS conference in the books and ACDIS’ 10th birthday coming up in October, we can’t help but see the association’s trajectory as an extension of that growth.

Last year’s conference had nearly 100 applications for some 40-plus speaking slots. While not every applicant can be selected to speak at the 11th annual conference, every application provides our Conference Committee with greater insight into the progression of the industry, helps with the selection process, and contributes to the quality of the event overall.

Every year, facilities across the country celebrate the efforts of their CDI teams for one week in September. Though ACDIS believes CDI professionals deserve accolades throughout the year, CDI Week is a time to pull out all the stops. This year’s festivities take place September 18-22 and the theme is “The Wild West: New Frontiers for CDI.”

Those who visit the ACDIS Forum know just how helpful and generous ACDIS members are with their time and knowledge. Often, when a member posts a resource or example on the Forum, the ACDIS leadership reaches out for permission to share with the wider ACDIS community. This week, that exact situation arose.

The ACDIS Career Center offers members a one-stop-shop for their CDI job hunt. On the Center, members can search for jobs and refine searches using keywords and filter functions, sign up for alerts about new jobs specific to their criteria, and upload their resume anonymously.

One hundred and 10. 110. That’s how many CDI-related professionals will head to Sarasota Memorial Hospital this weekend to get their infusion of networking and education during the Florida ACDIS Chapter’s quarterly event there. And that’s not all that’s going on this week.
