Salt Lake County to hold public hearing for West General Plan today

Who: Helen Peters, Regional Planning & Transportation Director; Lisa Hartman, Associate Deputy Mayor of Regional Operations

What: Salt Lake County Council is receiving public comment prior to adoption of the draft West General Plan. The West General Plan — created over the course of four years and in collaboration with neighboring municipalities, landowners, and residents through more than 100 meetings — is a long-range plan for unincorporated parts of Salt Lake County. It establishes the vision for future conservation and development of these diverse areas.

Salt Lake County recognized, yet again, for excellence in financial management

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Salt Lake County the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year that ended December 31, 2020.
Salt Lake County’s 2020 annual comprehensive financial report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
