Dazzle has the distinct pleasure of presenting drum legend Ari Hoenig this coming Wednesday November 28th with his trio featuring Nitai Hershkovitz & Or Bareket.

Ari has been a staple of the NYC jazz scene since the late 90's. He's particularly notable for his frequent appearances at the famous club Smalls in the west village. There's an age old tradition in jazz in which an established band leader cycles in and out new young talent through in order to keep the music fresh. Some of the most famous examples being Miles Davis and Art Blakey. In this day in age it's not near as common as it used to be. Ari Hoenig is one of the last remaining leaders who carry on this tradition. Notable musicians who have spent time in Ari's band early in their careers are guitarist Gilad Hekselman, saxophonist Tivon Pennicott, pianists Tigran Hamasyan and Shai Maestro.
