Happy Wednesday! Today we have Publicis Sapient’s Data Collection & Consent Survey, which questioned 5000 people across five countries, in order to better understand how consumers feel about data collection and data privacy. According to the survey: While 75% of American respondents believe it’s possible to have data privacy in today’s technology-driven world, a significant portion of respondents (one in five) worry about being able to maintain their privacy while online. That worry is present across all five countries (US, Great Britain, Australia, France and Germany) included in the survey, with roughly half of respondents feeling negative about the data collected about them. Also, Validity’s VP of Customer Engagement, Guy Hanson shows how 2020 impacted one of the industry’s most valuable channels: Email Marketing. “According to our data, year-over-year global email volumes are already up by 25%. And those numbers continue trending upward. This ongoing expansion of email volume will make it harder to get into people’s inboxes, and harder to get people to engage with the messages they do receive in 2021,” reveals Guy. |
