| | GETTING TO THE FAIRGROUNDS | YOUR WAY TO ITB BERLIN | | | From the airport or train station to the city, by public transport, dispatchers, car or shared mobility provider such as scooter to the exhibition grounds and back. Whatever you prefer, we have summarised all the options for you:
| | | Important note: Visitors arriving via BER Airport until 6 March must be prepared for restrictions on the Berlin S-Bahn. Due to construction work, the S-Bahn lines S9 and S45 will not run continuously between BER and the city centre during this period. A rail replacement service will be provided between BER Terminals 1 and 2 and Berlin-Baumschulenweg. Passengers are advised to change to the Regionalexpress. Our tip: use this site to plan your route.

The time zone is set automatically depending on where you are. When you arrive in Berlin, it automatically switches to the European time zone. So make sure you set up the meetings in the GMT+01:00 Berlin time zone when you hold the meeting in Berlin.

| | ITB BERLIN CONVENTION | THINK TANK OF THE INDUSTRY TALKS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL | | | How can tourism meet the challenges of the 21st century?
Under the motto "Mastering Transformation" international experts at the ITB Berlin Convention will be looking for strategies and answers in 18 focus tracks.
Here is just a small selection:
| The participants in the Future Tracks will ask which technologies will shape travel in the future.
Caroline Bremner (Senior Industry Manager, Euromonitor International), Leila Summa (Managing Director, PlayToChange) and Professor Alexander Knauer (Mittweida University of Applied Sciences) analyse the Metaverse and blockchain technology. The vention is also dedicated to the consequences of digitalisation within the framework of four Travel Technology topics, whose guests will discuss trends such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Decarbonisation and sustainability are the focus of the Responsible Tourism Tracks. Climate scientist Professor Hans Joachim Schellnhuber will discuss how climate change can be stopped without major losses in prosperity.
Challenges for sales and tour operators will be the topic of the Tour Operator und Travel Sales Track: experts such as Laura Meyer (CEO, Hotelplan Group), Erwan Corre (Co-Founder, Worldia) and Casper Urhammer (CEO Tour Operator, FTI Group) will be looking for answers to changing booking and travel behaviour.

| In the Destination Track, Professor Harald Pechlaner (University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt) will discuss the requirements of contemporary destination management.
| On the Future Work Track, Professor Heinz-Dieter Quack (Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences), Otto Lindner (Chairman, Hotelverband Deutschland), Dirk Binding (Director Digital Economy, DIHK) and Norbert Kunz (Managing Director, German Tourism Association) will look at the problems of the shortage of skilled workers.
Technical innovations and their significance for the airlines' customer market form one of the topics of the Carrier und Cruise-Tracks, which will open with a keynote address by Jürgen T. Siebenrock (Vice President Area Management, Lufthansa Group).

Daniel Rudasevki (Chief Growth Officer, Selina) will ask in his keynote speech at the start of the Hospitality Tracks how the hospitality industry can position itself for the future with the participation of stakeholders.
Developments on the business travel market in view of increasingly hybrid workplace models will be discussed by Suzanne Neufang (CEO, Global Business Travel Association) and Joachim Schmidt (Director, Egencia), among others, on the Business Travel Track .
