Miller Boat Line, which has been transporting vacationers to the small Lake Erie island for more than a century, added a new ferry to its fleet this month, and it’s a beaut – larger, smoother, quieter and with better views than any before it.

Sandusky lands $24.5 million federal grant to improve U.S. 6 into Cedar Point, expand bikeway

The grant will fund improvements along a six-mile stretch of U.S. 6 from the Cedar Point Causeway to Rye Beach Road and Ohio 2, east of town. It will also pay for an extension of the Sandusky Bay Pathway, a multi-use trail along the waterfront that will eventually connect downtown Sandusky east to Huron.

Ohio’s teachers pension lost an estimated $3 billion in the last year. On Thursday, its employees are expected to get nearly $10M in bonuses.

The fund for the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio was valued $94.8 billion June 30, 2021 and $91.8 billion on May 30 of this year.
