But while the state has peaked as a whole, some regions – like the north shore – are still seeing some jumps. Be safe, friends. Parade mandate: Notwithstanding the promising news on omicron, if you plan on riding in a parade in New Orleans this Carnival season, you'll have be vaccinated or show a negative test. That's what the members of the Mayor's Mardi Gras Advisory Committee were told last night. Same goes for the dance troupes and marching bands, the city said.
