Old Abdalla's store and others to get help

The Environmental Protection Agency awarded a Brownfields Coalition Assessment Grant to the

APC to help it with environmental assessments and planning activities at the sites, all of which are outside Lafayette, both agencies announced Monday.

Perhaps the most notable is the old Abdalla's department store in Opelousas, which has sat vacant for 40 years in that city's downtown area but dates back decades.
