Newsletter Articles | Review workplace violence prevention programs against new TJC standards | Take another look at your workplace violence prevention (WVP) policies and procedures now that The Joint Commission (TJC) has formally published new and revised standards that will be effective January 1, 2022. Not unexpectedly, the new WVP requirements require a workplace analysis, staff education and training, and a designated leader to oversee creation of policies, implementation of the program, analysis of reported incidents, and reports to the hospital governing body. Burt, Psy.D., program chair for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Phoenix. |
