We know you’ve been waiting, and the time has finally arrived: the 34th edition of Canadian Geographic’s long-running Annual Photo Competition is now open for entries. We’re looking for your best shots of Canadian landscapes, wildlife, weather, cities, and people enjoying our great outdoors. Prizes include an amazing selection of photo gear from Vistek, COOLPIX W300 cameras from Nikon, and a collection of new books from Royal Canadian Geographical Society explorers and Fellows. Plus, the winners and runners-up will see their images published in a 2020 issue of Canadian Geographic magazine. The competition is open until December 31st, 2019, so get those entries in!

Artificial intelligence is transforming societies worldwide. In developing countries, AI’s potential to benefit local economies, healthcare, agriculture, education and other sectors is sparking optimism and investment. Yet the challenges are great.
