| Now Open Pop Aesthetics: From Warhol to Hirst to KAWS | | On viewFebruary 1 – February 21, 2023
“I’m for mechanical art. When I took up silk screening, it was to more fully exploit the preconceived image through the commercial techniques of multiple reproduction.” -Andy Warhol Agora Gallery is pleased to present its compelling survey of contemporary pop art directly influenced by the work of Andy Warhol. The centerpiece of the exhibition is a rare Andy Warhol drawing, Blue US Airmail Stamp and Shoe (1962), which is the only known example that combines the artist’s early commercial illustrations with a Pop image from the 1960s.
