Music for Healing and Dialogue
| A longtime Neighborhood Arts favorite and 2016 Artist-in-Residence with the Boston Police Department, multi-instrumentalist (erhu/violin) and composer Shaw Pong Liu returns this season with Code Listen 3.0, a musical collaboration that brings together teenagers who have lost a loved one to gun violence, community social service and civic organizations, and Boston Police Officers. This special performance features Jason Palmer (jazz trumpet), Ashe Gordon (viola) and musicians of A Far Cry.
Together, participants co-created and performed a series of powerful musical works that encourage healing and dialogue on critical issues: gun violence, racial justice, and law enforcement practices.

Gil Shaham Returns with Akira Eguchi
| Violinist Gil Shaham returns with pianist Akira Eguchi for his sixth appearance at Celebrity Series. Over the years, Shaham gained prominence as a Celebrity Series favorite by delivering memorable recitals. Shaham and Eguchi will perform marvelous music by Prokofiev, Franck, and Scott Wheeler

| In addition to two breath-taking performances, Afro-Colombian dance company Sankofa Danzafro gave two masterclasses, one at the Boston Arts Academy and the other at the Veronica Robles Cultural Center as part of our Artist Connections program.

| Every October, we celebrate a Celebrity Series member who became a member during Membership Month.
