Grandview Kids are on the road! We are excited to announce the first-ever 53' tractor-trailer designed to raise awareness for Grandview Kids!
On behalf of Grandview Kids, we would like to thank Ross Mackie of Mackie Group ( for donating the advertising space on the trailer, and to Chris McGregor of Sign Design & Graphics Ltd. ( for donating the materials, manufacturing and installation of the advertising on the trailer.

If your child is currently receiving services at Grandview, you are eligible to join our closed, members-only Facebook Group, Grandview OPS (Online Parent Support), moderated by our Family Facilitator Andrea Belanger.
Go to and choose "Join Group" near the top right-hand corner. 
Andrea will verify that your child is a Grandview Kid before adding you to the group.

fire safety program

Have you thought about how your child with special needs would survive a fire emergency?
Grandview Children's Centre has partnered with the Clarington Fire Department and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management to bring the new THINK AHEAD fire safety program to families of Grandview Kids in Clarington.
Benefits of THINK AHEAD:
learn fire prevention and safety tips from firefighters
share information about your child with special needs to be stored in a database that first responders can access when en route to an emergency in your home
help your child become familiar with first responders so they'll recognize them as helpers in an emergency

On November 16, 2014, volunteers from the Canadian Progress Club Durham South and Canadian Progress Club Durham Region Women hosted their 3rd annual Christmas Party for Families of Grandview Kids featuring appearances by Spider-man, Squared Circle Live wrestlers and of course Santa Claus who gave out presents to all the kids who attended the free event. Volunteers from Progress Clubs also provided lunch for 260 party guests, arranged entertainment from a variety of performers, and offered activity stations for the kids to enjoy. Thanks to generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers and enthusiastic participants, our 13th Annual Curling for Grandview Kids Charity FUNspiel on November 1, 2014 raised $18,519 for Grandview Kids! Read more about this year's Pajama Party-themed event and view images
