North and South Korean Olympic Participation Meeting - Information for the Media The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has convened a four-party meeting on Saturday 20 January 2018. A decision with regard to the participation of athletes from the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 will be taken on this occasion. Media activity: IOC delegation led by the IOC President, Thomas Bach, welcomes all three delegations: the NOC of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and NOC of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), led by their respective Presidents, and a delegation from the PyeongChang 2018 Organising Committee (POCOG). The DPRK and ROK delegations will include high-ranking government officials at ministerial level. The IOC Members from the respective countries, Mr CHANG Ung and Mr RYU Seung Min, will also be present. Photo opportunities will be organised to attend the arrival of the delegations at the IOC Headquarters, Avenue General Guisan 70, 1009 Pully, at 8.40 a.m. A selected pool of media will be invited inside the IOC Headquarters. Please note that the meeting will be closed to media. IOC President’s statement The IOC President will give a statement to all media attending this event at the Olympic Museum after the meeting ends. The time of this will depend on the progress of the talks.
