| Good Friday afternoon. NBC News has obtained the search warrant the FBI executed at Donald Trump’s home, author Salman Rushdie was stabbed on stage during a lecture, and we’re learning more about the disturbing online trail left by a gunman who attacked an FBI office in Ohio. |

FBI removed trove of classified documents from Trump’s home |

|
|---|
| The FBI recovered 11 sets of classified documents during the search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, according to the warrant and accompanying documents obtained by NBC News. |

|
|---|
| Agents also took other items including binders of photos, a handwritten note and the executive grant of clemency for Trump ally Roger Stone, the documents show. |
|---|
|
|---|
| This new reveal comes after the Washington Post reported the FBI was searching for classified documents related to nuclear weapons. Trump denied that report, calling it a “hoax.” |

|
|---|
| Trump had until 3 p.m. ET this afternoon to lodge an objection to the public release of the search warrant. |
|---|
|
|---|
| In a post on his social media platform overnight, Trump said that he would not oppose the unsealing of the documents, and encouraged their “immediate release.” |

| Attorney General Merrick Garland announced on Thursday that the Justice Department had filed a motion asking a judge to make the warrant public. Garland added that he personally signed off on the decision to seek the warrant for Mar-a-Lago. |

|
|---|
| Trump’s allies have said that as president he had the ultimate authority to declassify any materials he chose, but it’s unclear whether he took any action to do so in this case. |

Salman Rushdie attacked on stage during speaking event |

|
|---|
| Author Salman Rushdie, whose writing made him the target of extremist threats, was stabbed on stage during a speaking event in western New York, police said. |

|
|---|
| A man stormed the stage at the Chautauqua Institution, about 70 miles south of Buffalo, and attacked Rushdie and an interviewer, New York State Police said in a statement. |
|---|
|
|---|
| “Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck, and was transported by helicopter to an area hospital. His condition is not yet known,” according to the statement. |
|---|
|
|---|
| The interviewer suffered a minor head injury, police said. |
|---|
|
|---|
| The suspect was taken into custody at the scene by a state trooper, according to police. His identity was not released. |
|---|
|
|---|
| Rushdie lived in hiding for nearly 10 years after Iran issued a fatwa calling for his death in 1989, following the release of his book, “The Satanic Verses,” which was considered offensive by many Muslims. |

Gunman who attacked FBI Ohio office left disturbing online trail |

|
|---|
| The gunman who was killed after attempting to breach an FBI field office in Cincinnati appeared to be a frequent user of former President Trump’s social media site. |
|---|
|
|---|
| A user with the same name as the suspect identified by two law enforcement sources recently posted about his desire to kill FBI agents shortly after Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was searched. |
|---|
|
|---|
| The user also appeared to have posted about his failed attempt to storm the FBI’s building on Thursday. |
|---|
|
|---|
| “Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn’t. If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops,” the user posted. |

|
|---|
| The gunman was armed with an AR-15, and fired a nail gun into the FBI office, according to two law enforcement sources. He was killed after an hours-long standoff with police. |

|
|---|
| We’ve also learned the suspect was at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, according to three people aiding law enforcement who saw him in photos taken from the day of the attack. |

|---|
House expected to pass sweeping economic and climate bill |
|---|
|
|---|
| The House today is expected to pass the Democrats’ sweeping economic, climate, and health care bill, handing President Joe Biden and his party a major legislative victory, less than three months out from the midterm elections. |
|---|
|
|---|
| The bill, called the Inflation Reduction Act, includes $430 billion to combat climate change and expand health care coverage, as well as tax reforms and a provision that would allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. |
|---|
|
|---|
| The Senate narrowly passed the measure along party lines last weekend. If the House follows suit today as expected, the bill would then head to Biden’s desk for his signature. |
|---|
|
|---|
| Republicans have slammed the bill, saying its name is misleading, and it will do little to rein in soaring inflation. |
